a n00b's perspective on Syncing the blockchain
« on: September 23, 2014, 04:33:31 PM »
Hey everybody!

So, i'm new to the fastcoin scene, and recently downloaded the newest wallet for Mac. Even using the bootstrap to catch up to a recent block (which was slightly difficult to locate the bootstrap file), it's still taking ages to sync up. With as many blocks as fastcoin has, isn't there a quicker way to sync up?

Thanks guys!

Hello Merval,

I hope that you waited for the full sync of your blockchain, I did a comparison fst/btc and even if the fastcoin chain is the longest, it was the fastest to sync between the 2.
